1. History
       Approved by our National Ministry of Education, Jiaozuo Teachers College, a full-time normal college, was established in 2002, its predecessor was Huaiqing Normal School, which was founded in 1907. Though the college has undergone various vicissitudes, it has always been sticking to its motto of normal education for over a hundred years.

3. Location
        It is located in the excellent tourist city of china---Jiaozuo, Henan province, which borders on Mount Taihang in the south and Yellow River in the north. The magic nature, along with the fertile ox horn-shaped carse, left a beautiful landscape and a culture, a combination of which offers an ideal stage for students to study.
4. Acreage
        Covering an area of 811.9 mu, Jiaozuo teachers college has a building area of 274,000㎡. The new campus came into service in the year of 2004 and became a scenery attraction of Jiaozuo city.
5. Departments and Programs
        The college has 13 departments and sections including Chinese language and literature, mathematics, politics, law and history, computer science, foreign language, education science, physics, chemistry, biology, arts, physical education. It holds 16 normal majors, 16 non-teacher-training programs and 11 programs for adults, which enrolls new students from 23 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
6. Faculties
        Nowadays, there are more than 11,000 registered students, more than 4,000 adult students and 800 faculty and staff members in the college, among which more than 190 are professors or associate professors, over 170 have obtained doctor’s or master’s degree. In addition, over 40 scholars are invited as visiting professors in the college.
7. Facilities
        The college also possesses good teaching and practice conditions, covers an area of 30,197 ㎡ as labs and student practice areas. At present, Jiaozuo teachers college has 380 million RMB fixed assets, and 35,038,700 RMB teaching apparatus. The total collection of the library reaches over 592,00 volumes and 1,100 kinds of domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines. We publish the journal of Jiaozuo teachers college and other academic magazines.
8. Education Concept
        The college focuses on the people’s needs, pays attention to the students’ quality in a comprehensive way and has trained a group of qualified graduates for the society. Since its founding in 1907, the college has trained nearly 80,000 graduates for the country, among which there are many well-known experts, scholars or social activists. Its alumni have made and are making great contributions to the social and economical development of china. In the areas of the party construction, ideology and political science, teaching, scientific research, management, students’ work and logistics service, the college has won above-provincial level honor titles many times.
9. International Cooperation
        The college has taken an active part in international academic exchange and cooperation. At present, it has established a sound exchange relationship with some famous universities in the world such as St. Petersburg Institute and St. Petersburg state university of Aerospace Instrumentation, etc.
